Getting Started with EzBanners

Plugin Setup

The EzBanners plugin is the core component that syncs your server's live data to our banner system. Follow these steps to get it installed and configured:

Step 1: Download the Plugin

1. Download the EzBanners plugin from SpigotMC or Hangar (PaperMC)
2. Place the downloaded .jar file into your server's plugins/ folder
3. Restart your server or use /reload to load the plugin

Step 2: Get Your API Key

1. Create a free account on EzBanners.com
2. Navigate to your dashboard and click "Add Server"
3. Enter your server name and copy the generated API key

Step 3: Configure the Plugin

1. Open the plugin configuration file at plugins/EzBanners/config.yml
2. Paste your API key in the api-key field
3. Set the server-id to your server's UUID (found in your dashboard)
4. Save the configuration file and reload the plugin with /ezbanners reload

The EzBanners website provides a complete dashboard for managing your servers, creating banners, and tracking analytics.

Creating Your Account

1. Visit EzBanners.com/register
2. Enter your email address and create a secure password
3. Verify your email address (check your spam folder if needed)
4. Log in to access your dashboard

Managing Servers, Plugins, and Roblox Games

From your dashboard, you can:

• Add multiple servers - Track different Minecraft servers with separate API keys
• Add plugins - Showcase your Spigot/Paper plugins with stats from SpigotMC or GitHub
• Add Roblox games - Display live player counts and game statistics
• View live stats - Monitor player counts, TPS, downloads, and other metrics in real-time
• Generate API keys - Create and regenerate API keys for each data source
• Track banner renders - See when and where your banners are being displayed

Embedding Your Banners

Once your data source is connected, you can embed your banner using:

• WebP format: Replace .png with .webp for smaller file size
• Custom sizes: Add ?size=1920x1080 or ?size=500x500 for Roblox banners
• BBCode: Available in your dashboard for forum integration
• HTML: Copy ready-to-use HTML code from your dashboard

Banner Designer Guide

The EzBanners designer is a powerful visual tool for creating custom banner templates. No coding or design experience required!

Getting Started with the Designer

1. Open the Banner Designer - No login required to experiment!
2. Choose a banner size (468x60, 728x90, 300x250, or 1200x300)
3. Select a base template or start from scratch
4. Add elements like text, images, and server data fields

Customization Options

• Text Elements: Add server names, MOTDs, or custom messages with full font control
• Dynamic Fields: Display live player counts, TPS, server version, and more
• Images & Logos: Upload custom backgrounds, server logos, and icons
• Colors & Themes: Choose from preset themes or create custom color schemes
• Layouts: Position and align elements with precision using the visual editor

Saving & Using Your Templates

1. Log in to your account to save templates
2. Click "Save Template" to store your design
3. Assign the template to one or more of your servers
4. Your banners will automatically update with the new design

Revenue Split for Template Creators

EzBanners rewards template creators who design and share premium templates with the community. Earn money when others purchase your templates!

How Revenue Share Works

• Create premium templates: Design unique, high-quality banner templates
• Set your price: Choose a one-time purchase price for your template
• Earn 70%: Receive 70% of each template sale, with EzBanners keeping 30%
• Monthly payouts: Get paid monthly via PayPal once you reach the minimum threshold

Template Requirements

To be eligible for revenue sharing, your templates must:

1. Be original designs created by you
2. Work across all standard banner sizes
3. Include preview images and descriptions
4. Follow EzBanners design guidelines and quality standards
5. Not violate any copyrights or trademarks

Getting Started as a Creator

1. Create an account and verify your PayPal email
2. Design your template in the banner designer
3. Submit your template for review
4. Once approved, set your price and publish
5. Track sales and earnings in your creator dashboard
